Wingspan
Soar into the award-winning world of birdwatching!
Wingspan is a beautifully crafted engine-building board game that brings the wonder of ornithology to your tabletop. Designed by Elizabeth Hargrave and published by Stonemaier Games, this medium-weight strategy game invites 1-5 players to become bird enthusiasts building their own wildlife preserves.
What makes Wingspan special:
- Stunning artwork featuring over 170 unique birds, each illustrated with remarkable detail
- Engaging gameplay that combines card drafting, dice rolling, and strategic resource management
- Educational fun – learn about real bird species while you play
- Multiple paths to victory through habitat building, egg laying, and bird collection
How to play:
Each turn, choose one of four actions: play a bird card from your hand, gain food tokens using custom dice, lay eggs on your bird cards, or draw more bird cards. As you build your engine over 4 rounds, each bird you play makes your actions more powerful, creating satisfying combos and strategic depth.
The player with the most points from birds, bonus cards, end-of-round goals, eggs, cached food, and tucked cards wins!
Perfect for: Strategy game fans, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a gorgeous game that's easy to learn but offers endless replayability.
