Greylune is a competitive fantasy strategy board game that combines worker placement with adventure. Place your villagers between the cards that form the town, then retrieve them at the right moment to gather resources, recruit companions, acquire items, and visit important locations. Venture beyond the village for quests and encounters, then return to tell your tales in the taverns for victory points.

How do you play Greylune?

In Spring, position your villagers to influence which Village cards you can access. In Summer, retrieve them to take actions such as buying items, recruiting companions, going on adventures, and telling stories in taverns. Players advance through the seasons at their own pace, so deciding when to stop placing workers is a central tactical choice.

Stay in Spring to deploy more villagers, or move into Summer to secure an opportunity before an opponent does. Your rivals are competing for the same town cards and limited encounters, making anticipation and timing just as important as your own plans.

Seek adventure, then tell the story

Build the strength, magic, and resources needed to tackle valuable encounters and quests. Only a limited selection of encounters is available each year, so prepare your adventurer and act before another player claims your target.

Returning to town is part of the adventure. Tell your exploits in the taverns to turn your deeds into reputation and victory points. At the end of the fifth year, the player with the most victory points wins.
