Concordia
Concordia: Build a Roman trade network
Concordia is a competitive economic strategy board game for 2–5 players, designed by Mac Gerdts. Lead a Roman dynasty, send colonists across the Mediterranean, build houses in productive cities, and develop a trade network. Your cards determine both the actions you can take and how you score at the end of the game.

How do you play Concordia?
Each player starts with an identical set of cards. Play cards to take actions, move your colonists, establish houses, and develop your economy. Cities produce bricks, food, tools, wine, and cloth, giving you resources to support further expansion.
Acquire additional cards during the game to broaden your options. Every card has a second purpose: its associated deity determines how it awards victory points. Building a strong economy is only part of the puzzle. You also need cards that reward the network you are creating.
As your trade routes spread across the board, keep an eye on the cities and scoring opportunities your rivals are pursuing. Concordia rewards advance planning and adapting to the other players, rather than dice-driven combat.
Two maps in the base game
The double-sided board includes Imperium, a Roman Empire map for 3–5 players, and Italia, a Roman Italy map for 2–4 players. Variable city layouts and the changing order of cards for sale create different opportunities from game to game.
Who is Concordia for?
Choose Concordia if your group enjoys thoughtful Euro-style strategy, resource management, and building an efficient economy. Its peaceful Roman setting offers competition through trade, expansion, and scoring rather than warfare.
Frequently asked questions
Is Concordia cooperative or competitive?
Concordia is competitive. Each player develops their own dynasty and aims to finish with the most victory points.
Can two people play Concordia?
Yes. The base game supports two players using the Italia side of the board.
Does this base game support solo play?
The base game is designed for 2–5 players; solo play is not included in that player range.
How do you win?
Score victory points through the deity scoring conditions on your cards. The game-ending trigger occurs when the last available personality card is purchased or a player builds their fifteenth house. The player with the most victory points wins.
Is this a standalone game?
Yes. This is the Concordia base game, not an expansion.
