Monikers Party Game – Hilarious Word & Charades Game for Groups
What is Monikers?
Monikers is a party game for 4–16 players based on the public domain game Celebrity. Players split into two teams and take turns getting teammates to guess famous names — real people, fictional characters, and pop culture icons — across three increasingly challenging rounds.
How Do You Play Monikers?
The same deck of cards is used across all three rounds, building on shared memory and inside jokes as the game progresses:
- Round 1 – Describe It: Clue givers can say anything except the name itself.
- Round 2 – One Word: Clue givers can only say a single word.
- Round 3 – Charades: No words allowed — gestures and acting only.
Who Is Monikers For?
Monikers is ideal for game nights with friends, family gatherings, and parties. It plays best with 6–10 players and is suitable for ages 17+ due to some adult-themed cards. A family-friendly version is also available.
